Stained glass can look romantic from the outside of a building, but seeing it from outside is not to really see it. It is designed to be backlit by natural daylight, only possible from inside. Although the church was locked at Marysburg, we knocked on the door of the nearest house and a key to church was found. Access to many prairie churches is as easy as that.
