Downtown Regina is graced by two fine churches facing the leafy formal square of Victoria Park. Knox Metropolitan United Church (at right) is across Victoria Avenue from First Baptist Church. The park is also faced by Saskatchewan’s grandest hotel, the modernist public library and a towered Art Deco Federal Building. A third grand church on the park was unfortunately replaced by a telephone office building in the 1950s.
