Almost unknown in Canada, Ste. (fem.) Radegonde (519-587) is a famous saint in France. She was a queen of the Franks and died in Poitiers.

The windows in this church can be seen as an extension of the large installation begun in 1977 in the nearby Assumption Cathedral at Gravelbourg. Frederic Rault was in the process of assuming leadership of the Rault studio in Rennes from his father Andre in the late 1970s. Ste Radegonde and Assumption were his first Canadian commissions.
