This portrayal of Elizabeth emphasizes her headdresses: her finely curled hair is modestly covered with a cloth, while a royal crown expresses her earthly status. The halo indicates that she was canonized a Saint after her death. The blue background appears to have been applied using a stencil, but the figure itself is well painted in vitreous enamel.
