Depictions of First Nations people in Canadian stained glass occur in historical panels in every province. Over the 150 years of Canada’s existence, these images have revealed attitudes ranging from stereotypical colonialism and eventually, to respect. Several important First Nations artists have recently created church windows in Western Canada.

Frederic Rault made these windows around 1980. The native man seems slightly skeptical of the English missionary.
