Three entirely distinct forms of glass are in play here. The Rault windows, uniquely among glass artists, use two forms of stained glass: painted vitreous enamel for the figure, as in medieval times; dalle de verre (aka slab or faceted glass, developed early in the 20th century. The fortuitous original corner glazing is standard industrial clear glass.

The richly coloured panel hovers as if free of gravity in this uniquique retrofit.
