In the early 1920s the Ursuline Sisters established St. Ursula’s Academy, a respected residential girls school renowned for its music program and the quality of its teaching. The transformation of Saskatchewan’s transportation infrastructure, allowing parents to drive their children to day schools, led to the closure of the Convent in 1990. In 2007, the Ursuline facility changed ownership and became St. Therese School, a residential co-ed Catholic high school.
