In 2001, the last year for which reliable Statistics Canada is available, Nunavut ranked as the most Christian corner of Canada. At the time, 57.9 per cent of Nunavummiut counted themselves as Anglican, with another 23.3 per cent reporting as Catholic. Altogether, only 6 per cent of Nunavut ticked the box next to “no religion,” compared to 16.2 per cent nationwide.
