A ruby red sun and moon hang above the walls of Jerusalem in the distance. INRI is an acronym for Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum, Latin for, “Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews”. Pontius Pilate, the Roman Governor who condemned Jesus, ordered that the ironic placard be placed on Jesus’ cross.
