In this brutal scene, a large group of terrified people in a cage are tormented by a redcap and two yellow accomplices. The reference to the Holocaust is unmistakable: the cruel raised arm of the yellow torturer in the lower corner, beside a face that might be Hitler’s.
The panel is acknowledgement of what Christians did to Jews, and many others, during the Nazi period.
