Government House of 1959 with Porte-cochère

Like two 19th century predecessors, the 1903 “Scottish castle” designed by Francis Rattenbury and Samuel Maclure was also destroyed by fire, in 1957. The porte-cochère survived that fire and was incorporated in the fourth mansion of 1959, in the A-frame style popular in the 1950s.
